Nottingham Business School Student Project 2023

Challenge: CDF partnered with the Nottingham Business School, UK for a second time for an MSc. student consultancy project. We asked the students to develop marketing and promotional strategies to enhance user sign-ups for our media and information literacy project, Litt. As we were operating on a donate-and-win model with tax-exempt status, we asked them to leverage emotional appeal for increased contributions. The challenge was, therefore, to attract individuals to engage with CDF’s work, particularly Litt, and motivate them to sign up and provide recommendations tailored to the Indian market context based on their research.

Project summary: The report’s scope of research was centred around developing and proposing actionable recommendations that would help clients understand what the program was about, and a messaging and communication strategy that would encourage users, institutions and communities to sign up. Some specific recommendations put forth by the students in the report include enhancing email marketing, and SEO, implementing a school initiative, and improving social media content. The report thus provides valuable insights and actionable recommendations to address challenges in cash flow, user donations, and program awareness.
