Citizen Digital Foundation (CDF) is a non-profit organisation based in Trivandrum, Kerala, dedicated to promoting safe and responsible navigation and innovation in the digital ecosystem. CDF works to influence systems changes to maximise the advantages and minimise the harms of existing and emerging digital technologies. CDF’s work addresses issues related to online child safety, attention-harvesting, online privacy, targeting, behaviour manipulation, mis/disinformation, polarisation, and teenage mental health, through sessions, programmes, and advisory services for various stakeholders such as students, educators, parents, media, corporates, technologists, entrepreneurs and policy makers and other government entities.

Administrations Officer
This role is only for candidates based in Trivandrum.
Job description:
- Managing day-to-day administration, operations and logistics as briefed by the Manager – Operations
- Maintaining MIS and CRM systems impeccably.
- Funds and donor records management and reporting.
- Maintaining and documenting HR/Admin systems.
- Follow and maintain systems to comply with all non-profit compliance processes and organisational policies.
- Work with programmes, communications and accounts teams to maintain records, and advance CDF’s mission.
- Outreaches and coordination with partners, vendors, allied organisations and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate logistics and admin for CDF projects, events and activities.
The ideal candidate would possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated excellence in past admin roles. 4-5 years experience.
- Good command over English and Malayalam.
- Exceptional organisational & communication skills – natural flair for organising records and systems impeccably.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP/MIS/CRM systems.
- High levels of resourcefulness – a knack of knowing where and how to look for solutions to a problem, and coming up with creative ways of resolving them.
- Knowledge of administrative tools and software. Knowledge of project management tools like Whimsical/Monday/Meister/Trello. Quick adaptability at learning new software skills.
- Proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
- Commitment to the mission of the organisation, and the willingness to enable other teams.
- Social/Development sector background is preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate.

Tech Fellow
Citizen Digital Foundation (CDF) is inviting applications from young, motivated tech-savvy individuals to join as a Tech Fellow to provide overall tech support for the organisation. The fellow will play a key role in the implementation/migration of technologies and various software applications for the organisation. Individuals committed to promoting responsible and inclusive use of technology, in an NGO setting are preferred.
Location: Trivandrum (with occasional travel to other parts of the state)
Duration: 6 months
Compensation: Upto 20K depending on candidate’s experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementation of a suitable ERP system to streamline various internal processes.
- Create a platform for CDF knowledge management and maintain the resource library.
- Manage/customise backend systems and ensure the smooth functioning of various digital platforms used by the organisation.
- Attend systems and software-related troubleshooting across teams.
- Support the integration and maintenance of various digital tools used by CDF.
- Document key processes and provide basic tech training to team members.
- Assist in streamlining data integrity, system security, and best digital practices across all applications in use.
- Revamp the existing CDF website/ develop a new one for the organisation.
Eligibility:
- B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or an MCA is preferred. However, individuals with a strong passion for coding and a portfolio of relevant work are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in website development (both front-end and back-end), including familiarity with platforms such as WordPress and Wix.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Jinja templating.
- Strong understanding of database management.
- An interest in exploring and customising open-source software to suit the organisation’s needs.
- Familiarity with ERP implementation and configuration is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a user-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical teams.
- Prior experience working with non-profits or purpose-driven organisations is a plus.
