Abstract: The Youth Dialogue Forum is CDF’s interdisciplinary dialogue format designed to bring diverse and fresh opinions into making technologies work in people’s and the nation’s interests. In its first virtual iteration, we brought together engineering, journalism, law, and commerce students from across India to engage in meaningful dialogue. This year we conducted the YDF at the Trivandrum International School as part of our Good Tech Squad initiative followed by one with Tatvika Avalokanam, a debate/discussion community based in Trivandrum and with Cult A Way ’24, the annual cultural fest of Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering. Unlike traditional debates, YDF encourages evidence-based arguments, active listening, and respectful disagreement to collaboratively develop solutions that align technological advancements with the interests of individuals and the nation. This innovative approach highlights the importance of diverse perspectives in addressing technological challenges and demonstrates the value of youth contributions in shaping a responsible tech-driven future.
